Uploads run on isolated per-request workers over TLS and are deleted within the hour. Cropping and resizing happen on the canvas in your browser, so those files never leave your device at all.

Is iFormat really free?

Yes, within a daily allowance: 2 a day as a guest, 5 a day and 10 a month with a free account, one file at a time. Files can be up to 50 MB as a guest or 100 MB signed in. Two things are paid: the background changer is on Pro, and a watermark-free passport photo is $3 once or included on Pro. Pro and Business also remove the daily count, raise the file size and convert in batches.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Every free tool works without signing up, 2 files a day up to 50 MB. A free account raises that to 5 a day and 10 a month, files up to 100 MB, and keeps a history of your conversions.

Is my data secure?

All uploads travel over TLS encryption. The image resizer, cropper and the rotate, flip and blur tools work on the canvas in your browser, so nothing is uploaded at all. Everything else, conversion, compression, PDF, video, audio and the AI tools, runs on our servers and auto-deletes within 1 hour. We run no ads or third-party trackers.

What file formats does iFormat support?

On Pro and Business. The free plan converts one file at a time; Pro takes batches of up to 20 files and Business up to 100.

How fast are conversions?
